The Gold Humanism Honor Society encourages its members to be leaders in championing humanism in healthcare. In order to offset the costs and support the success of your project goals, GHHS offers short-term grants up to $1000 in which half will be awarded up front and the second half after approval of the final report. This funding is intended to support projects that will be implemented and concluded within 12 months of receiving grant funding.
A chapter or resident applying for these funds qualifies for a single grant per calendar year but may reapply in subsequent years. Please note that grant funding is limited and additional avenues to attain funding should also be considered.
If, for any reason, you are unable to begin your project within the calendar year you applied for the grant, funding will not be rolled over.
Applications for the Short-Term Grant are now closed. GHHS staff will review and make a determination regarding the final awarding of the grant funding within 3-4 weeks of the close of the grant application period. [Please note that the review date is subject to change at any moment].
Eligibility Criteria:
- GHHS membership (trainee members including students, residents, and fellows affiliated with an institution)
- If you are a student member, your GHHS chapter must be up to date with their GHHS Chapter dues payments. If you are unsure whether your institution is up to date with their dues payments, please contact ltvito@gold-foundation.org
- For grant requests submitted by resident and fellow GHHS members, a preference will be given to dues paying GHHS members in their 4th year of residency training and beyond.
